The period of that one decade, when there was the tumult and crisis of war, millions of Afghans were forced to flee away from their homeland to other lands, including Iran, Europe, USA, Germany and Pakistan. The larger number of Afghan refugees came for shelter to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, which included different classes of the Afghan society. There were poets, writers, intellectuals, researchers and university teachers amongst those almost three million refugees, who continued with their writings and different literary activities, mostly in Peshawar. The study covers the writings of Peshawar-based Afghan refugees, with dominant Diasporic elements, as the tragedy was not an ordinary one, over which writers continue to write even today and will continue to write in future. Diaspora is a significant phenomenon in the history of many nations, which always leave a profound impact on the thinking and outlook of its ordinary masses and also on its writers and poets. The tragedy of homeless people is beyond measure as homelessness is followed by numerous issues with refugees everywhere in the world. The Afghan refugees were also confronted with the universal Diasporic issues, which is clearly perceptible in the writings of Afghan Diasporic poets and writers. The Afghan Diaspora had another important aspect as well. The refugees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were either pro-communism or anti-communism. The refugees, who were anti-communism, were larger in number, so, during the Afghan Jihad against communism, the anti-communists promoted Jihadi propaganda, thus producing Jihadi literature. The study covers the analysis of the poetry, prose and jihadi literature of the Afghan Diaspora during the decade of 1979 to 1989.

2022-11-30T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Khairulummah https://khairulumma.com/index.php/about/article/view/111 The Islamic Glorious Epoch through the March of History 2024-01-18T10:44:36-05:00 Dr. Muhammad Daniyal Khan daniyalkhan@uop.edu.pk Dr. Salman Bangash salmanbangash@uop.edu.pk
This study discusses the key elements that developed Islam's "Golden Age" and their contributions. Beginning with the reign of Abbasid Caliph Harun al-Rashid (c. 786–809) and concluding with the Abbasid Caliphate's fall with the Mongol invasions and the sack of Baghdad in 1258 CE, this period of Islamic growth lasted nearly five centuries. On the other hand, some scholars define Islam's Golden Age more broadly and across a longer period of time.

All concur, however, that the Golden Age represents a truly remarkable period in human history that spans several centuries and includes the exceptional accomplishments of Islamic scholars, humanists, and scientists across a wide range of disciplines, including finance, mathematics, astronomy, medicine, and Islamic and European monetary systems. The main contributions to human progress made by the Abbasid, Fatimid, and Umayyad dynasties in Baghdad, Cairo, and Andalusia are briefly listed here. Most importantly, The word Islam means peace and security as well. A great number of Quranic verses and Hadiths mention the importance, establishment and precepts of peace. As wars and conflicts are the killer of peace. So,Islam gives clear and expressive teachings for eliminations of them and promotes international and global peace view for the safety, sanctity, protection and security of the world as a whole. And he struggled for the exaltation of Islam. Multa used to teach him the call and commandments of the religion of Islam. Yes, madrasahs were not organized like today, but whoever wanted to learn education would come and attend the service of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and learn the commandments.

Dar al-Raqam was a center of comfort for the Muslims, especially the poor, oppressed and oppressed and slaves used to come and take shelter here.

Here, the duties of remembrance of Allah and sermons were also performed continuously. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to pray together with his followers. It is also clear from Hazrat Khabab's statement that the benefactor of humanity used to pray to Allah Almighty here even at night for God's guidance.

In this house, the performance of the preachers of Islam was evaluated, future plans of preaching were made and the hard work of training the preachers themselves was also done. Among the trained teachers of Dar al-Raqam, Hazrat Abu Bakr, Khabab bin Alarat, Abdullah bin Masoud and Musab bin Umayr are particularly noteworthy.

Dar al-Raqam was the "Dar al-Islam" as well as the "Dar al-Shura" for the Muslims, in which future preaching plans were made through mutual consultation. The decision to migrate to Abyssinia was also decided here through mutual consultation, and this place had the same place in the history of Islam as Darulandah had with the Quraish.

The refuge of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in Dar al-Raqam was a history-making stage and it was also an event like Halaf al-Fadhul, Harb al-Fajr and Aam al-Fail. The Meccans also determine the events that happened in the era of Prophethood in terms of before and after the entry of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) into Dar al-Raqam.

Hazrat Arqam was one of those people who were exalted by the wealth of Islam and he dedicated his house for educational, training and da'wah activities in the beginning. Jumki was considered the most important center for spreading Islam during his period.

In the light of different statements of historians, it can be said that the period of stay of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in Dar al-Raqam was more than one year.

The infidels were fully aware of the refuge of the Meccan Muslims in Dar al-Raqqam; however, they were not aware of the inner activities and plans of Dar al-Raqqam.

There is also a clear indication of the presence of the Companions in Sha'ab Abi Talib. As much as the revelation was revealed during this period of siege, surely the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would have taught it to the Companions in Shub Abi Talib and here the Companions would also discuss religious matters. In this sense, the community of Abi Talib can also be described as a da'wah center of the Makkah era of Prophethood, where the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companions were engaged in teaching and preaching for three years.

The last thing is that we should learn from the teachings of the Holy Prophet in the present age. In the above lines, the propagation and propagation of Islam in the Makkah and Madani period has been presented with great wisdom and expediency. This is a model for all humanity.
2023-12-25T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Khairulummah https://khairulumma.com/index.php/about/article/view/110 Teachings of Islam for Peaceful Coexistence: Lessons for Conflict Resolution in Pakistani Society 2024-01-17T08:39:21-05:00 Syed Bilal Shah sbilalshah@uop.edu.pk Dr.Saira Gul sairagul1984@gmail.com Dr.samiul haq haq@sbbu.edu.pk
Pakistan since its independence has faced various incidents of violence against minorities and people of different faiths.
